BATMAN (1989) - Main Unit Clapperboard

A main unit clapperboard from the production of Tim Burton's 1989 superhero film Batman. This wooden clapperboard has been painted primarily black with a black-and-white chevron pattern applied over one side of the clapper. The production name "Batman," "MAIN UNIT," and the names of the director and director of photography (Roger Pratt) have been hand-painted on the board in white. Strips of beige tape are adhered along the bottom edge and display the date of its last use, "24:1:89 DAY INT," written in black marker pen.

Its reverse side reads "A CAM," which has been made in strips of white tape. The clapperboard exhibits chips to the paint, traces of old chalk, marks from where tape has been previously removed, and rust to the metal clapper stick hinge. Dimensions: 35 cm x 38 cm x 2 cm (13 3/4" x 15" x 3/4")
