BATMAN (1989) - Batman's (Michael Keaton) Battle-damaged Batsuit & Stunt Chest Emblem

Batman's (Michael Keaton) battle-damaged batsuit and chest emblem from Tim Burton's superhero film Batman. Batman's suit became increasingly damaged after he crashed the Batwing and fought the Joker (Jack Nicholson) in Gotham's cathedral at the film's end.

Conceived by costume designer Bob Ringwood, this batsuit comprises a black Lycra bodysuit featuring matt black foam-rubber body-armour components, with zip closures down the back. Intentionally distressed to look battle damaged, the suit exhibits tears, holes, abrasions, applied latex and dirt marks.

Attached to the suit is a stunt chest emblem made of flexible rubber, distressed to make it appear burned from the crash. The batsuit comes presented on a custom display with a light-up Batman-symbol base. Dimensions (on display): 43.5 cm x 64 cm x 173 cm (17 1/4" x 25 1/4" x 68 1/4")
