STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE (1999) - John Duncan Collection: Scratch-Built Wooden Naboo N-1 Starfighter First Design Maquette - A scratch-built wooden design maquette of a Naboo N-1 Starfighter from the production of George Lucas' Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The N-1 was the high-speed, single-pilot fighter used by Naboo's forces in space combat.

This gray wooden N-1 maquette comes from the collection of concept model maker John Duncan, who designed and built it. It features a clear plastic cockpit dome and is mounted to a black wooden base. Also included is a white foam board stand. Being an earlier design, this maquette has some subtle differences from the final model, most notably where the wings connect to the main body of the starship. Recently this maquette underwent minor restoration by the original artist. The original design was by Doug Chiang, and as a favorite of Star Wars fans, this design now appears on The Mandalorian. It exhibits minor wear from age, including scuffing to the finish of the base. Dimensions: (starfighter) 9.25" x 15.5" x 1.5" (23.5 cm x 39.5 cm x 4 cm)

Estimate: $10,000 - 20,000
