STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (1987-1994) - Light-Up Ferengi Tricorder with Rick Sternbach's Original Hand-Drawn Concept Sketch - A light-up Ferengi tricorder with Rick Sterbach's original hand-drawn concept sketch from Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The tricorder debuted in the Season 5 episode "The Perfect Mate," when Qol (Michael Snyder) caused Kamala's (Famke Janssen) premature emergence.

This lot consists of a mixed media tricorder painted pewter and bronze to appear metallic with various grill-textured buttons, two heat-sink style protrusions, a paper fluorescent multicolor screen with dingbat iconography, a miniature circuit board and faux antennae, and a trapezoidal plate allowing for battery access, as well as a letter-sized, three-hole punched paper sketch rendered in black ink with blue linework, hand-marked "Sternbach," and dated "2-92." A slide switch activates dim multicolor blinking lights embedded in the tricorder. The lot exhibits missing switch cover, scratching, chipping, pitting, and edge wear. Dimensions: (tricorder) 7" x 3.5" x 2" (18 cm x 9 cm x 5 cm); (sketch) 11" x 8.5" (28 cm x 21.5 cm)
