Fix-Masseau worked closely with Cassandre from 1926 to 1928, and the master’s influence is clearly seen in this poster for the French railways. Fix-Masseau has, in fact, reversed the perspective of Cassandre’s 1927 Nord Express (see No. 295), and the powerful design results in one of the most impressive posters of the period.
