STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - Hoth Rebel Trooper DL-21 Blaster Pistol

A Hoth Rebel trooper pistol from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Rebel Alliance soldiers used their blaster pistols during the Empire's assault on the planet Hoth.

Many of the Hoth Rebel blasters feature an extended barrel with a flared muzzle piece, but the production regularly encountered the problem of the barrels snapping when placed in holsters. This led to the creation of blasters such as this one, with a shortened barrel.

This blaster pistol is made primarily of resin and fibreglass, and is based on the combined body of an AR-7 with the grip of a Sterling L2A3. It is painted black, and attached to the top is a nonfunctional scope featuring small reflective lenses at each end. The blaster has some wear from production use and age, including wear to the paint and chips to the scope. Dimensions: 22 cm x 4.5 cm x 19 cm (8 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 7 1/2")

Estimate: GBP 10000 - 20000 M
