STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982) - Regula I Docking Bay Model Miniature Component - A Regula 1 docking bay model miniature component from Nicholas Meyer's sci-fi sequel Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The laboratory on the Regula 1 space station served as the research and development testbed for Project Genesis, the classified terraformation project that Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban) looked to commandeer for his own purposes. While reused in Star Trek II, the piece was originally built for Star Trek: The Motion Picture as the Orbital Office Complex's docking bay and saw reuse well into the late-1990s as Starbase 375 in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

This lot consists of a wooden frame with metal handles containing a miniature docking bay constructed of mixed media including wood, resin, and kitbashed plastic greebles painted in shades of gray. The rear of the miniature features an acrylic backing with an X-shaped insert and a pattern printed on a translucent cel that could be backlit. The lower left-hand corner is part of a runabout of the miniature, which was modified during the DS9 era. The outside of the component is marked "Trek 168" and "The End Up Only." It exhibits paint chipping, discoloration, scuffing, and loose or missing greebles. Dimensions: 48" x 24" x 42" (122 cm x 61 cm x 106.75 cm)

Estimate: $4,000 - 8,000
