Dorival’s graceful wizardry of transferring place to poster is evidenced in a design promoting rail travel/car service to Cricqueboeuf, its coastal highlight–the mussel-bound reef known as the Banc du Ratier–shelved in favor of the the village’s scenic pond and ivy-covered church. Not much in the way of locomotives, but how you get to all this serenity matters very little, as long as you take note of the travel services’ names at bottom. In addition to his graphic appeal, Dorival was also known for his work as a sketcher and decorative artist, as well as serving as the director of l’Art et la Mode.
