STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Anthony Daniels' Hand-annotated Script

Anthony Daniels' hand-annotated fifth-draft script from the production of Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

The script - credited to Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan and based on a story by George Lucas - is dated "February 20, 1979" and is 170 pages long. It is printed on a mix of yellow, pink and white pages, indicating different revisions, with each page dated. Daniels' name is handwritten in the top right corner of the title page, and at the top of page 2.

Five pages feature handwritten annotations and there are two torn pieces of paper slipped between pages with handwritten script notes and line changes, as well as two pieces of paper used as bookmarks. The script is bound with metal fasteners in a purple card cover. Dimensions: 28.5 cm x 22 cm x 2 cm (11 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 3/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.
