SPACEBALLS (1987) - Light-Up Spaceball One (Mothership) Model Miniature Display - A light-up Spaceball One (mothership) model miniature display from Mel Brooks' sci-fi comedy Spaceballs. Spaceball One, Dark Helmet's (Rick Moranis) mothership, housed the residents of Spaceball ruled by President Skroob (Mel Brooks).

Apogee built two Spaceball One models based on the Tantive IV from Star Wars: A New Hope for the production: a massive 17' version, and this smaller version created for wide shots, such as when the mothership blasts into the distance. It is constructed of styrene and resin, detailed with kit-bashed model parts and cast greeblies, painted industrial gray, and installed throughout with fiber optic lighting which illuminates via a button on the base. Also included is a detachable "vacuum cleaner" top section for the scene in which Spaceball One transforms into Megamaid.

This model comes mounted via a metal rod to a black wooden display with a light-up "Spaceballs" logo. As it exhibits various notable points of repairs made in sections as well as chipping materials, it should be handled with care. Dimensions: 41.5" x 7.5" x 4" (105.5 cm x 19 cm x 10.25 cm)

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $10,000 - 20,000
