STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH (2005) - Mace Windu's (Samuel L. Jackson) Hero Lightsaber Hilt

Mace Windu's (Samuel L. Jackson) hero lightsaber hilt from George Lucas' Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Master Windu carried his lightsaber throughout the film, wielding it in combat against Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid).

According to Star Wars canon, Windu constructed the lightsaber, with its distinctive amethyst plasma blade, after becoming a senior member of the Jedi Council. The Star Wars Databank notes that the amethyst blade is Windu's way of "warning [his] enemies that the Jedi Order's greatest champion [is] ready for battle." In reality, Jackson asked Lucas for a purple bladed lightsaber so Windu could stand out. Despite some initial reluctance, Lucas agreed.

This lightsaber is a hero version, crafted in resin and vacuum metalised with a mirror-chrome finish in silver and gold. It features a handle made of black rubber strips, and has two additional rubber sections, each with an intricate lined pattern. It shows some very minor wear from production use and age, with some scratching to the chrome. Dimensions: 27 cm x 4.5 cm x 4 cm (10 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/2")

Estimate: GBP 40000 - 80000 OMEGA
