This is one of three designs by Colin for the French national lottery, which was connected with horse racing in a similar manner to that of the Irish Sweepstakes. Against a frantic blue-green background, Colin lets a winning couple do the only decent thing upon receiving news of a windfall–smooch, while money falls in great clumps about them. A delightful image of unabashed celebration, its slapdash motion neatly implied with a streaking collision of color, a bend of a knee and a tilt of the enamored.
