THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (1994) - Warden Norton's (Bob Gunton) Screen-Matched Framed Sampler - Warden Norton's (Bob Gunton) screen-matched framed sampler from Frank Darabont's prison drama The Shawshank Redemption. This sampler screen-matches to the one Norton's wife cross-stitched in her church group and Norton then mounted above the safe he filled with corrupt funds, taking it down only after Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) exposed him.

The Shawshank Redemption, adapted from Stephen King's novella of a similar title, saw great success in the home-video market with Warner Home Video shipping over 320,000 copies throughout the United States in 1995, allowing it to become the seventh top rental of that year. It was inducted into the United States Library of Congress' National Film Registry as a culturally significant work in 2015, and is featured on numerous top film lists from not only the American Film Institute but also numerous media outlets, including Rolling Stone and USA Today.

This cream-color canvas sampler originated from Darabont's personal collection. Originally hand-crafted for the production by a needlepoint artist in Mansfield, OH, where the film was shot, the sampler reads "His Judgment Cometh and That Right Soon.. " in maroon thread with green and red borders surrounding it. It comes mounted behind glass in a black wooden frame with a sticker from the Ben Franklin Frame Shop, also of Mansfield, applied beneath a metal hanging wire on the reverse.

The frame exhibits minor scuffs along its edges, and its brown paper backing is torn in several places from handling, exposing the canvas. Dimensions: 20" x 31" x 2" (51 cm x 78.75 cm x 5 cm)

Estimate: $40,000 - 80,000
