BATMAN RETURNS (1992) - Batman's (Michael Keaton) Batsuit on Display - Batman's (Michael Keaton) Batsuit from Tim Burton's superhero sequel Batman Returns on a display. Batman wore his iconic Batsuit throughout the film as he battled with the Penguin (Danny DeVito) and Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer).

While the suit for Burton's original Batman film featured muscular body armor, the second iteration of the Batsuit sculpted by Steve Wang and Jose Fernandez from design illustrations by Bob Ringwood featured a more industrial armored form. This costume consists of an original black foam latex cowl; an original black latex cape with fabric lining; an original foam rubber bodysuit with attached shoulder and upper arm armor; and a set of hip armor. The yellow and black cast resin bat chest emblem, the leather gloves (size XL), resin belt, lower leg foam armor, boots, and foam boot covers are all replicas added to complete the display. The cape is a particularly nice example, with the latex still soft and supple.

This Batsuit comes mounted to a custom body form with a Michael Keaton lifecast for display. The cowl underwent sympathetic restoration to treat surface cracking and to patch cuts in the back where it was removed from a display head or actor previously, while he body armor components have also had minor restoration and stabilization. The costume remains in fragile but stable overall condition.

Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
