THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (1993) - Screen-Matched Halloween Town Skyline Model Miniature - A screen-matched Halloween Town skyline model miniature from the production of Henry Selick's stop-motion fantasy musical The Nightmare Before Christmas. After a lifetime of living in Halloween Town, Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon) discovered a new way of life in Christmas Town. Details in the sculpting of the hill screen-match to the shot of the skyline in the film's opening musical number.

Created for shots featuring Halloween Town's spiky, dark silhouette, this miniature is constructed from black-painted plaster buildings with high-gloss orange nylon windows that shine when activated by light, gray-painted wooden details, and gray-painted metal wire staircases between the buildings. The skyline has been affixed to a canvas backing, created for display, featuring a hand-painted black and gray starry sky with a pastel yellow moon containing the silhouette of Oogie Boogie (Ken Page) and a placard labeled "Used for the opening of the film" at the bottom. The lot exhibits minor paint flaking and signs of sympathetic restoration, including two of the rear buildings being foam replicas added to complete the piece. Dimensions: 36" x 36" x 2" (91.5 cm x 91.5 cm x 5 cm)

Estimate: $7,000 - 14,000
