PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME (2010) - Hero Dagger of Time

A hero Dagger of Time from Mike Newell's action adventure video game adaptation Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The Dagger of Time used the sacred Sands of Time, stored within its glass hilt, to reverse time for its user. After Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) accidentally discovered the dagger, he used it throughout the film as he tried to clear his name of King Sharaman's (Ronald Pickup) murder and stop Nizam (Ben Kingsley) from taking control of the Sands of Time.

The dagger features a cast metal blade finished with silver plate and decorated with ornate patterns, a gold-colour brass crossguard, which features a cast relief design in a similar ornate pattern, bands of which extend up and wrap around a clear resin grip encasing a hollow inner cylinder, and a jewelled red resin pommel which can be opened (to fill the sand) on a hinge and secures in place by a magnetic closure. The grip's inner cylinder would have been filled with sand during production. It exhibits areas of minor rust from age and a crack on one side of the blade tip. Dimensions: 41 cm x 11 cm x 4 cm (16 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 1/2")

Estimate: GBP 15000 - 30000 M
