Lot 299: Woodrow Wilson Signed Document 1916
<b>Autographs</b><hr><b>WOODROW WILSON.</b>
Partially Printed Document Signed, "Woodrow Wilson" as President, April 3, 1916, Washington, D.C., 14" x 18", Choice Very Fine. An appointment of Fred B. Fuller as Postmaster at Gouverneur, New York. Co-signed by H.S. Burleson as Postmaster General. A gold embossed paper seal of the Post Office Department is affixed in the lower left and bears an impression of a mailman on a horse; minor wear to the right side of the seal. WilsonÕs signature is nearly 3' long. Toning to left side of document, but it has never been folded or rolled and still has great eye appeal. Accompanied by a mimeographed letter by the First Assistant Postmaster GeneralÕs Office, May 15, 1920, informing Fuller that his salary would be $2500 per year, for his rank as Postmaster 'Second Class.' Normal folds, chipping, and wear to letter. An interesting set! (2 pieces)
