BATMAN (1989) - Batman's (Michael Keaton) Batsuit Costume - Batman's (Michael Keaton) batsuit costume from Tim Burton's action-adventure film Batman. Batman wore his costume as the masked vigilante of Gotham City throughout the film.

This costume consists of an original foam latex cowl with pointed ears, original foam latex torso armor and hip armor on a production-made undersuit (without zipper at the back) from Batman (1989) and a fabric-backed latex cape from the sequel Batman Returns (1992). The capes from the sequel were nearly identical to the original film's capes and are only distinguishable based on unseen interior details. The costume is mounted to a custom body form for display and completed with replica components including replica black leather gloves (size XL) with rubber plating and pointed fins; replica boots and boot armor; a replica yellow-painted rubber utility belt; and a replica resin chest emblem featuring a bat symbol with the three-point tail unique to the first film. The custom mannequin display features a lifecast of Keaton, and is mounted to a black wooden base. This costume had undergone sympathetic restoration to the foam latex. Specifically, the surface of the cowl has been patched, treated and sealed with a coating, and the ears have been restored. This lot exhibits notable fragile and flaking latex on the cape, wear to the body components, and shows sympathetic repairs to the cowl. It remains in stable condition though is also delicate.

Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
