PAN'S LABYRINTH (2006) - Screen-matched Book of Crossroads Autographed by Guillermo del Toro

A screen-matched and authenticated Book of Crossroads autographed by Guillermo del Toro, from del Toro's fantasy drama Pan's Labyrinth. The whole film centres around the book. Given to Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) by the Faun (Doug Jones), the book itself guided her to complete three tasks which will grant her immortality and return to her underworld kingdom. One of only two made for the production, intentional distress and markings on the cover screen match the book to the scene in which Ofelia is first handed it.

The book is bound in leather, with a mystical tree decoration on its covers. Most of the pages are blank and tied together with nylon thread to allow the book to open on the correct page. However, one page halfway through features a caricature self-portrait and autograph from del Toro with a handwritten speech bubble reading "Genuine Prop 'Screen Used' 1 of 2 authenticated by Guillermo del Toro". Del Toro donated it from his personal archive to a charity auction in 2022 where it was bought by the consignor. Dimensions: 33 cm x 25 cm x 3 cm (13" x 9 3/4" x 1 1/4")

Estimate: GBP 4000 - 8000 M
