14” x 9,” 15 mixed leaves plus one 32-page unit from 1779. Leaves are all separated. Features resolutions enacted between 1779 and September, 1780. A number of interesting resolves, some related to the Revolutionary War. Of interest is a resolve “...exempting John Sergeant, missionary to the Indians at Stockbridge, from all poll-taxes, and from all military duty” (p. 107); also a resolve “relinquishing this State’s claim to a number of Negroes... Whereas a number of Negroes were re-captured and brought into this State by the armed Vessels Hazard and Tyrannicide, and have since been supported at the expence of this State, and as the original owners of said Negroes now apply for them...” (131); and two grants to “the honorable Samuel Adams, Esq.,” and “John Hancock, Esq.,” for “Ballance” due for their service as delegates in Congress...” (pp. 153 & 156).
