Though a tad more strictly Byzantine than the bulk of his panels, this porcelain doll swathed in azure and fairly dripping with overindulgent ornamentation provides a luxuriant dose of Camps’ femininity, the fall of her shawl with its exquisite peacock bauble lending an ideal Art Nouveau exclamation mark to the design. This particular version of the decorative panel was utilized to promote Lithographie Michel-LÈvy, a Epernay-based printing company.
