A MONSTER CALLS (2016) - The Monster's Full-size Articulated Hand

The Monster's articulated hand from J.A. Bayona's dark fantasy drama A Monster Calls. The Monster (voiced by Liam Neeson) picked up Conor O'Malley (Lewis MacDougall) in his giant hands several times throughout the film. This full-size hand was created by Spanish make-up and special effects studio DDT, founded by Academy Award& reg;-winners David Marti& #769 and Montse Ribe& #769.

As the Monster is a humanoid yew tree, the articulated and poseable hand is designed to appear as if it is made of wood. It is constructed primarily from EVA foam of varying stiffness, around an articulated skeleton made of water-cut steel, allowing each finger to be posed for specific shots and actions. The large roots curled around the hand are made of polyurethane foam hand-painted with acrylic paint, and the very fine roots are made of latex. Dimensions (as fist): 122 cm x 102 cm x 73 cm (48" x 40 1/4" x 28 3/4")

Special shipping required; see special shipping notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: GBP 10000 - 20000 OMEGA
