IRON MAN 3 (2013) - Light-up Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) Mark 42 Helmet with Replica Chest and Shoulder Armour

A light-up Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) Mark 42 helmet from Shane Black's superhero sequel Iron Man 3. Iron Man used the Mark 42 armour - also known as the "Prodigal Son" - to protect Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) when their home was attacked by the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), and then used it to escape to rural Tennessee, heavily damaging it in the process. He also piloted it remotely to rescue passengers and crew plunging from Air Force One after an attack on the plane.

The light-up helmet is made primarily of fibreglass hand-painted to look like metal. It has been intentionally distressed to look damaged, and is covered with scratches and markings. The eyes illuminate when powered via an internal battery pack and dimmer switch. "MK42 Helmet" is handwritten in the interior. The section of the helmet at the base of the skull is removable and attached to the rest of the helmet with a magnet. The helmet is displayed on replica shoulders and chest armour. Dimensions (helmet): 29 cm x 19 cm x 21 cm (11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 8 1/4")

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
