The 1 oz 2024 Shekel of Tyre Silver Coin is a bullion coin inspired by the ancient Shekel of Tyre, which was a silver coin used in the ancient city of Tyre (modern-day Lebanon). The coin features the image of Melqart, the god of Tyre, often depicted as a lion-headed figure, with the inscription "Tyre" in ancient script. The reverse typically showcases a symbol representing the city, such as a representation of the temple of Melqart or a simple ancient design. This coin, containing 1 ounce of .999 fine silver, is part of a series celebrating the rich history of ancient coinage and is sought after by collectors and investors alike.
