1. Autograph Letter Signed “Signor” (George Frederick Watts’ nickname), on Telegraph Office stationery, October 17, 1902, Limnerslease, Guildford, England, 7” x 4.3”, 2 pages, Choice Very Fine. Watts, a British painter and sculptor (1817-1904), signs on page 2 of this personal note, with a large flourish under his signature.
2 & 3. Two signatures, one by English-Dutch painter of Roman scenes, Laurence Alma-Tadema (1836-1912), and the other by his wife, Laura Alma-Tadema (1852-1907), who was also a painter: Autograph Letters Signed, “Laura Alma-Tadema,” and “L Alma-Tadema,” on two different pieces of stationery, June 20, 1895, and May 22, 1905, Grove End Road, St. John’s Wood, London, England, 6” x 3.75”, Choice Very Fine. Normal folds, staining from paper clips, remnants from mounting on verso of 1895 letter. A choice collection of signatures from these British artists.
