Brittany’s long and mysterious past makes itself felt in the abundance of prehistoric remains, menhirs and dolmens–druidically included by d’Alesi with Stonehenge-style flair. Granite, outcropping nearly everywhere, distinguishes Breton architecture, whether in church or castle, chapel or chateau, harbor wall or humble house.
