The first was written by Dr. Benjamin Rush: 1. “An Account of the Bilious, Remitting, and Intermitting Yellow Fever as it appeared in the City of Philadelphia, in the year 1793," first edition, by Benjamin Rush, 1794, Philadelphia: Printed by Thomas Dobson, hardbound later half-morocco, rebacked with cloth, 8.5" x 5.4," 363 pages, Fine. Austin 1631; Evans 27658. Worn covers, title partially separated, scattered light dampstaining and browning; ex-library, with a perforated stamp to the title and a bookplate on the front pastedown.
2. “An Account of the Epidemic Fever which prevailed in the City of New-York,” by Richard Bayley, 1796, New York: Printed by T. and J. Swords, hardbound later cloth, rebacked, 9” x 7.75,” 160 pages, Fine. Austin 159; Evans 30041. Worn covers, foxed pages, ex-library, with perforated stamp to the title and a bookplate on the front pastedown. Partial signature of original owner on title page. Both are interesting accounts of the Yellow Fever outbreak at the end of the 1700s. (2 pieces)
