THE GOLDEN GIRLS (1985-1992) - Rich Weaver Collection: Sophia Petrillo's (Estelle Getty) Wedding Dress Costume and Signed Scripts - Sophia Petrillo's (Estelle Getty) wedding dress costume and signed scripts from the comedy series The Golden Girls. In the Season 4 episode "Sophia's Wedding: Part I," Petrillo wore her dress to wed Max Weinstock (Jack Gilford) after the death of his wife.

This lot comes from the collection of Estelle Getty's personal assistant and friend, Rich Weaver. It consists of a beige chiffon-blend, long sleeve wedding dress with lace applique along the bottom, chest and cuffs; four Getty-signed personal final draft scripts for the episode "Sophia's Wedding: Part I," "Sophia's Wedding: Part II," "The One That Got Away," and "There Goes the Bride, Part II;" and four personal final draft scripts labeled "Estelle Getty" for the episodes "The Operation," "Sophia's Choice," "Sister of the Bride," and "There Goes the Bride, Part I." These scripts feature multicolor highlighter and graphite annotations, paperclipped and dog-eared pages, and multicolor revision pages. Included in this lot is a signed memo from co-producer Marsha Posner Williams to the cast and a copy of the National Enquirer with a preview of the wedding episode. This lot exhibits minor discoloration on the dress and minor stains and fold creases on the scripts from storage. Dimensions: (scripts, each) 8.5" x 11" x 0.5" (21.75 cm x 28 cm x 1.5 cm)
