HIGHLANDER II: THE QUICKENING (1991) - Dragon-handled Katana and Sheath

A dragon-handled katana and sheath from the production of Russell Mulcahy's Highlander II: The Quickening. Ramirez (Sean Connery) and Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) wielded their signature katanas throughout the film.

This lot consists of a katana with an aluminium blade, a machined aluminium tsuba painted gold, and an ornate resin tsuka painted cream-colour to resemble carved ivory and engraved with Japanese-style patterns and images of a tiger and dragon, as well as a black faux bamboo sheath wrapped with matching fabric at the base. The katana is intentionally distressed by production to appear aged and well-used. Following production, it underwent sympathetic restoration, but still exhibits discolouration and scuffs, while the sheath exhibits scratching. Dimensions: (sheathed) 110 cm x 13.5 cm x 11.5 cm (43.25" x 5.25" x 35.5")

Estimate: GBP 5000 - 10000 OMEGA
