HELLRAISER: BLOODLINE (1996) - Practical SFX Lament Configuration Puzzle Box

A practical special effects Lament Configuration puzzle box from Kevin Yagher's sci-fi horror sequel Hellraiser: Bloodline. French toymaker Philip Lemarchand (Bruce Ramsay) created the puzzle box for a wealthy aristocrat, who used it to summon a demon named Angelique (Valentina Vargas). It is used at various points throughout the film, including the scene where Angelique persuaded a security guard to solve the Lament Configuration, which summoned "Pinhead" (Doug Bradley).

This brown wooden puzzle box is gilded with laser-etched brass and finished with lacquer. It is inset with a shifting metal mechanism operated by a sliding handle located on a brass pole that protrudes from the box's base. When the handle is pushed up, the box separates to reveal a floral-patterned version of itself. This SFX version would have been employed to film the box opening independently after the puzzle was solved. Accompanying the lot is a certificate of authenticity from the film's make-up effects designer, Gary J. Tunnicliffe. Dimensions: 36 cm x 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (14 1/4" x 3" x 3")

Estimate: GBP 12000 - 24000 OMEGA
