THE VALLEY OF GWANGI (1969) - Hand-drawn Ray Harryhausen "Pinky the Elephant" Scale Comparison

A hand-drawn "Pinky the Elephant" scale comparison by Ray Harryhausen from the production of Jim O'Connolly's Western adventure The Valley of Gwangi. The image shows an elephant face-on and in profile, along with a cowboy figure for scale.

Harryhausen often made detailed size comparisons, as they were vital for his own reference, and to help the actors visualise his creations while shooting. The detailed artwork is rendered in pencil on paper, and the sheet is labelled "Pinky". The lot exhibits smudging and minor marks in the top left corner. Dimensions: 40.5 cm x 50.5 cm (16" x 19 3/4")

Sold without copyright; see copyright notice in the Buyer's Guide.
