TITANIC (1997) - Mirror-image Printed Third-class Ticket

A mirror-image printed third-class ticket from James Cameron's romantic disaster film Titanic. Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) won his third-class ticket in a poker game with Sven Gunderson (Dan Pettersson), whose passenger name appears on the ticket.

As Cameron's replica of the RMS Titanic comprised only the ship's starboard side, he had to reverse any images of it docked at Southampton because in reality, the liner took on its passengers from the port side. As a result, this ticket, like many of the ship's signs and notices, had to be mirror printed.

The ticket is mounted in a framed display featuring the film's title printed on a brass plaque. It comes packaged in a cardboard box with "Titanic" printed tape wrapped around it. Accompanying the lot is a 20th Century Fox certificate of authenticity, which notes that the ticket was "Won by Jack in on-shore gambling scene". Dimensions: 29 cm x 26 cm x 1.5 cm (11 1/2" x 10 1/4" x 1/2")

Estimate: GBP 3000 - 6000 M
