SUPERMAN II (1980) - General Zod's (Terence Stamp) and Ursa's (Sarah Douglas) Mount Rushmore Head Model Miniatures on Display

General Zod's (Terence Stamp) and Ursa's (Sarah Douglas) Mount Rushmore head model miniatures from the production of Richard Lester's Superman II on a display. Zod and his minions used heat vision to resculpt Mount Rushmore with their faces.

These model miniatures were created by legendary effects and makeup artist Stuart Freeborn as part of a larger model set for VFX inserts, and as such differ slightly from the heads seen onscreen. They are ornately sculpted from plaster and painted grey and yellow to resemble stone. The heads come mounted on a custom, light-up metal and acrylic display affixed with the film's logo and engraved "Mount Rushmore Zod and Ursa." The plaster exhibits minor pitting, the base exhibits scratching and a crack at the bottom, and the yellow paint exhibits fading, exposing grey wash beneath. Dimensions: 39.5 cm x 26.75 cm x 40.75 cm (15.5" x 10.5" x 16")

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
