Wagram-Auto was a driving school cleverly located on Wagram Avenue. Show a learner at the wheel? Not on your life–how about instead showing in cartoon style that learning to drive acts as a safety umbrella. Another instructive way Cappiello shows how to translate the mundane into the visual. We don’t know if we can pass along complete credit to the artist’s inventiveness, but the school survived until the late 1980s at the same address, at which point the owner sold the business.
