STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) - Production-made C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) Hand Plate

A production-made C-3PO hand plate from George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Daniels wore metallic gold-coloured hands as part of his distinctive C-3PO costume, which was based on concept artwork by Ralph McQuarrie and designed and created by sculptor Liz Moore.

Made of vacuum-formed plastic, the hand plate is vacuum-metalised in gold and features Anthony Daniels' autograph in black pen on the wrist. The interior has also been signed by Daniels, who's also handwritten an inscription in gold pen, which reads "This is an original hand piece from Star Wars - Unused". It exhibits paint wear, discolouration, and a few minor splits in the edges from age. Dimensions: 20 cm x 13 cm x 5.5 cm (8" x 5" x 2 1/4")
