And what we see, right off the bat, is that these savvy industrialists were targeting the female populace, demographically presenting their automobile as the natural next step in vehicular suffrage. And take note that as the goddess of technical advances smiles down on the Delahaye product, the male–albeit feminine–chauffeur has been ordered to the back seat by the woman driver and an even more accessorized companion. The message is clear–if a bicycle provides a woman with greater freedom, just imagine the boundless liberation a car could provide.
