Each photograph identifies the person or the personÕs occupation, such as Kopeli, Chief of Snake Priests, Walpi, or Zuni Water Carriers, Blanket Weaver, Turquois Driller, Moki Runners, Isleta Women, etc. Several governors are named, including the governors of Santa Clara, of the Pueblo of Zuni, the Pueblo of Sia, and the Pueblo of San Ildefonso.
