<b>Western America</b><hr><b>Terrific Broadside Appeal to Homesteaders
Traveling West on the Railroads:
'The Shortest and Quickest Route to All Points West'</b>

<b>c. 1880s, Broadside: 'THE KEY NOTE!' Cincinnati, Ohio, Very Fine.</b>
22.5' x 14', uncolored print text. Mildly toned sheet with crisp, dark text printing. Large tear along right edge, affecting one word in the center. Minor staining along left edge. 'George A. Knight,' a ticket agent for the Ohio & Mississippi Railway, advertises 'the shortest and quickest route to all points West,' with no change of cars between Cincinnati and St. Louis. Lower left corner has a purple stamp from 'Henry H. Hannan,' land and emigration agent from Swan Creek, Ohio. A terrific appeal to 'emigrants and colonists' who were heading west.
