PINOCCHIO (2019) - Pinocchio (Federico Lelapi) Test Make-up Bust

A Pinocchio (Federico Lelapi) test makeup bust from the production of Matteo Garrone's fantasy film Pinocchio. The development of Pinocchio's extensive prosthetics by the Oscar-nominated hair and make-up team involved scans of and translated the actor's face being translated into detailed wood-textured clay sculptures created by prosthetic sculptor Sebastian Lochmann, which were then made into moulds for the prosthetic pieces. Numerous make-test busts were meticulously hand-painted to create a realistic wood grain based on a piece of oak given to the team by Garrone as a reference.

This silicone head is adhered to a biscuit foam bust and features a wood grain and carved texture on the head and neck. It has been hand-painted in a light brown colour, with a darker brown used for the hair and a faint red applied to the cheeks and lips. Dimensions: 23 cm x 33 cm x 36 cm (9" x 13" x 14 1/4")

Estimate: GBP 800 - 1600 M
