Political
Great Piece for Collectors of National Currency

c. 1878, 'An Address To The Voters Of Rensselaer County', The National Greenback-Labor Party, by George MacDonald, Fine.
10' x 6.75', four pages. Moderate toning, minor edge chipping, scattered light waterstains - but RARE! This is a ringing indictment of the National Bank System which, according to MacDonald, would lead to the concentration in a few hands of the entire wealth of the America! The Greenback Labor Party reached its zenith in 1878, when the party polled more than 1,000,000 votes for 14 Congressmen. However, the party declined steadily once the government resumed specie payments (greenbacks became redeemable in gold) in 1879. This is a great piece for collectors of National Currency and/or political scientists.
