STEAL THE SKY (1988) - Hand-Painted Michael Pangrazio Iraqi Air Base Matte Painting - An Iraqi air base matte painting hand-painted by Michael Pangrazio for John D. Hancock's war romance Steal the Sky. This matte was created for the scene in which Munir Redfa (Ben Cross) walked through the airbase while discussing transferring.

This oversize matte painting depicting an Iraqi air base with the majority of the canvas blacked out is rendered in mixed media on a framed glass panel. Its upper right edge is hand-marked "M-76" and "Dotto 118250" is handwritten in yellow marker on the reverse. The painting exhibits scratches and lifted tape. Dimensions: 49.5" x 61" x 1" (125.75 cm x 155 cm x 2.5 cm)
