JAMES BOND: TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997) - Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) Model Miniature Scuba Diver

A Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) model miniature scuba diver from Roger Spottiswoode's Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) and Wai Lin used an inflatable boat to board Carver's (Jonathan Pryce) stealth ship.

This miniature figure, created in the likeness of Michelle Yeoh, was made for filming wide-shot scenes of Bond and Lin on the inflatable boat in Saigon. Ultimately these scenes did not make it into the film's final cut.

The figure features a resin head with black faux hair and a black silicone scuba-suited body with a solid interior up to the knees and completely flexible calves and flippers. A wood, metal, and plastic scuba breathing tank is affixed to the back, and a pair of separate resin hands attached to metal tubes, which at one point would have fitted into the suit's silicone sleeve, accompany the model. Also included are three printed photographs illustrating the scene the model is for. The model exhibits dust from age and indentations and warping to the silicone from wear and storage. Dimensions: (model) 24 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm (9 1/2" x 2" x 2")

Estimate: GBP 400 - 800 M
