STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE (1977) - Dave Jones Collection: Production-Made R2-D2 Model Miniature - An R2-D2 model miniature from the production of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. R2 (Kenny Baker) aided Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in his assault on the Death Star from the back of his X-wing.

This lot comes from the collection of veteran model maker Dave Jones. Created by Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM) miniatures team but ultimately unfinished, this static resin model of R2's upper body is ornately cast with his signature greeblies and panels. The resin exhibits fractures throughout and exhibits discoloration from age. Dimensions: 1" x 1" x 1.5" (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 3.75 cm)
