STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE (1977) - Dave Jones Collection: Imperial TIE Fighter Pyro Model Miniature Wing Strut - An Imperial TIE fighter pyro model miniature wing component from the production of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. TIE fighters were the standard combat ships of the Galactic Empire.

This wing strut, an incomplete section of a TIE fighter's solar array support frame, comes from the collection of veteran model maker Dave Jones. Designed and constructed by Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM) miniature department for SFX shots of TIE fighters being shot down by Rebel fighters, it is cast from epoxy resin with detailed greebles and an industrial black paint finish. Its base exhibits fracturing and discoloration from being exploded during production, and it exhibits a hole at top. Dimensions: 9.5" x 2.5" x 0.5" (24.25 cm x 6.5 cm x 1.25 cm)

Estimate: $1,000 - 2,000
