STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES (1966-1969) - Hand-Painted Spock Costume Concept Artwork - A hand-painted Spock costume concept artwork from the production of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek: The Original Series. Pre-dating costume designer William Ware Theiss' involvement, Western Costume Company created various costume concepts, thus making this an early piece of Star Trek history.

This lot consists of a full-bodied Spock stylized akin to Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon, in a brown uniform with ringed shoulder embellishments and a yellow and blue lightning bolt chest emblem; and is rendered in watercolor paint on illustration board, with handwritten notations and a small fabric swatch; and a paper wrapping for the piece with additional handwriting on it discussing the piece. The artwork is featured inside of a white double mat board with a brown inner edge. This lot exhibits wear from age, including yellowing, ripping, and staining. Dimensions: 16" x 20" x 0.25" (40.75 cm x 51 cm x 0.75 cm)
