DOCTOR WHO: THE CHRISTMAS INVASION (T.V. SERIES, 2005 - PRESENT) - Sycorax Sword

A Sycorax sword from the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. In the Series 2 episode "The Christmas Invasion", The Doctor (David Tennant) and the Sycorax leader (Sean Gilder) used swords to duel each other after the Doctor issued a challenge of single combat.

The sword comprises a long steel blade with the engraving "LA" on either side; a leather grip; and a foam-covered hilt guard and pommel, which have been painted to imitate bone. It is embellished with a plume of synthetic brown hair, with coils of wire and strips of fabric attached to the top of the pommel and strips of light brown leather wrapped around the guard. The blade exhibits rusting from age, and there are a few tears in the foam hilt guard and pommel, revealing the metal beneath. Dimensions: 122.5 cm x 29 cm x 7 cm (48 1/4" x 11 1/2" x 2 3/4")

Estimate: GBP 1500 - 3000 M
