CONAN THE BARBARIAN (1982) - Hand-Drawn Ron Cobb Father's Sword Concept Sketch - A concept sketch of Conan's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) father's sword hand-drawn by production designer Ron Cobb for John Milius' fantasy epic Conan the Barbarian. To avenge his people, Conan reclaimed remnants of the sword his father (William Smith) crafted before Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) raided their Cimmerian village.

This full-length, ornately detailed sketch of the sword is rendered in pencils and inks across two sheets of illustration paper adhered together. "Suffer No Guilt Yee Who Wield This in the Name of Crom" is written along the blade in stylized text, and one sheet is signed and dated "79" by Cobb. The sketch exhibits pinholes at the edges, creasing, multicolor stains, and minor discoloration from age. Dimensions: 43.5" x 12" (110.5 cm x 30.5 cm)

Sold without copyright; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $4,000 - 8,000
