THE CROW (1994) - Concept Art Sketchbook with Hand-coloured Club Trash Sketch

A concept art sketchbook with hand-coloured Club Trash sketch from Alex Proyas' The Crow. Concept art was created for key sets, including Eric Draven's (Brandon Lee) apartment and Gideon's (Jon Polito) pawn shop to create Proyas' dark depiction of Detroit.

This lot consists of a hardbound 93-page sketchbook with "The Crow" hand-written in silver-colour marker on the front, with hand-rendered sketches of street and gargoyle studies and hand-written annotations in ink and pencil. Included is a concept sketch on paper coloured with washes of black and grey. The sketchbook features art director Simon Murton's signature on several completed concept sketches in the book dated "92," and the sketch features "backlit billboard 2 stories" hand-written in black ink, with hand-marked notches and sketching over the building. This lot exhibits creases and fold lines, a ripped front cover, and book edge wear. Dimensions: (largest) 41.5 cm x 56 cm (16.25" x 22"
