(Camera Sound Effects, c.1960) An extremely rare vintage Los Angeles Camera Sound Effects 12" vinyl record. Consisting of professionally made documentary location recordings from Southern California landmarks, this record was intended for use by independent filmmakers needing background sounds to fill out the settings of their films. Disneyland is among the featured locales, and recordings were made at the Mark Twain & Monorail, Los Angeles Airways Sikorsky Helicopter, Santa Fe & Disneyland R.R., Astro Jets, Autopia, Rocket to the Moon, Submarine Voyage, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Mark Twain passing the Indian Village. These recordings are among the only surviving independently produced, professional quality audio captured at the park during this time period and serve as a fascinating time capsule to the actual sensory experience of visiting Disneyland in its earliest days. The original sleeve is included. The record appears to be in very good condition, with some faint surface scratches and scuffs. Measuring 12.5"x12.25", the sleeve is also in very good condition with only minor corner bumping.
