Rare TLS during the construction of the Titanic, signed “Pirrie,” one page, 8 x 10, personal letterhead, December 18, 1909. Letter to Mr. Forth in Belfast. In full: “I am in receipt of your letter of the 16th instant with reference to the prizes etc awarded by the Shipwright’s Company, for which I am much obliged and I shall pass it on to the Clerk of the Company, although I daresay you have already written him officially.” In very good condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, with horizontal fold passing through signature, scattered creases, a mild shade of toning, and a rusty paperclip mark to top edge.
